Last night, we had to say our final goodbyes to my “second dad” Keith Busenbark. Jesus has called him home. I know he’s not hurting anymore from the ailments that caused him trouble, but we sure do miss him already. He never once treated my sister or I as step-kids, or separate, in the over 25 years they were married. We were “his girls” just like his other kids. That is a special find in someone. He loved my mom like none other, to his last breath. He had a heart of gold, loved talking about cooking food, could play the piano like no one else, and that voice - I will miss hearing him sing. He would not have wanted to be remembered “sick,” so I will try and honor that. He still had so so many plans for my mom and him. He was not well, and still put the rest of us first in his thoughts, and a very grateful man. I asked that you please say a prayer, especially for my mom, Sharon Busenbark, as well as all his children and grandchildren, as navigate through this next chapter of life. We love you, always, Keith. RIP 10/16/18.
