In the lab with @jlawbball and @juliusrandle30 as they work on deceleration in the jump shot. By speeding the player up it helps to reinforce force getting their legs/feet under them while staying balanced and get their shot off. ・・・
Assistance Shooting focusing on balance and body control when decelerating is 🔑!! Gonna be a funnnnn summer with the homie @juliusrandle30 💪💪 #jlawbball #pewpewcrew #lakers #nba #balllislife #corevyo #freeagent #harnessgreatness #corevyo #repost

After watching this facility get built over the past couple of years, it was great to tour the new LA Lakers training facility - this has to be the leading sports training facility in the world? Amazing behind the scenes tour with sports marketing guru and friend, Mr Blain Skinner.

“I think the biggest challenge is getting over the fear of CPR,” says Brandon Hintergardt, a clinical instructor at the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care helping to instruct community members during the UCLA Health CPR-Palooza event at the @UCLAHealthTC. “Once you’re accustomed to the skill and you have the training and muscle memory, if a loved one has a cardiac arrest you can step in and potentially save their life in a stressful situation. You only have about four-to-six minutes before the brains starts to die with no oxygen, and when you call 9-1-1 it can take five, 10, 15 minutes for the paramedics to get to you. So being able to provide CPR gives you more time and gives your loved one a better chance of regaining their full facilities when they recover. The only thing worse than being nervous about doing CPR is having to stand there when someone has a cardiac arrest and not know what to do. So get the training and get confident.” #UCLA #UCLAHealth #UCLACommunity #ItBeginswithU #PowerofU #TeamUCLALakers #CPRSavesLives

De’Anthony Melton’16 (@deanthony_melton) being interviewed after his workout with the @lakers. Fellow alum Chris McGee ‘89 (@geeter3), studio anchor for @spectrumsportsnet, was onsite for the interview and asks Melton, “How much Crespi pride do you have?” Good luck to De’Anthony in next week’s NBA Draft!#CeltPride

Nearly 1 in 3 men today report that they do not use a regular source of healthcare and are typically less likely than women to undergo routine checkups or openly discuss their medical issues. It’s time to get a checkup! We’re spreading the word about #MensHealth and preventative care with @Lakers GM Rob Pelinka, Lakers Reporter @MikeTrudell & Dr. Jesse Mills of the UCLA Men’s Health Clinic! #TeamUCLALakers #UCLAUrology

“It’s great to know that if I pass out, there are 900 more people in the community who could help me,” says Katie O’Connor, a faculty member at the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care’s Paramedic Program helping instruct community members during the UCLA Health CPR-Palooza event at the UCLA Health Training Center: Home of the Los Angeles Lakers. “It doesn’t matter how fast the paramedics or firefighters get to you or how fast you get to a hospital, the real life saving happens when people start and do hands-only CPR the moment someone arrests. We know that the sooner and higher quality the CPR is, the more likely the person is to survive from a sudden cardiac arrest. So if you’re waiting or sitting on a train, watch a video, learn a little bit about CPR, and you could help someone, probably a family member or your neighbor.” #UCLA #UCLAHealth #UCLACommunity #ItBeginswithU #PowerofU #CPRSavesLives #TeamUCLALakers
