Launching to space ๐Ÿš€! A #Dragon ๐Ÿ‰ that went racing into the sky at 5:42 a.m. EDT on Friday, June 29 atop a @SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket will arrive at the International Space Station (@ISS) tomorrow morning! The Dragon cargo craft will deliver more than 5,900 pounds of research, equipment, cargo and supplies to the crew living aboard our orbiting laboratory, including artificial intelligence ๐Ÿค–, an instrument that will help us better understand volcanoes ๐ŸŒ‹, fires ๐Ÿ”ฅ, urban heat ๐ŸŒ‡ and coastal and inland waters ๐ŸŒŠ here on Earth, and more.
@astro_ricky and @astro_feustel will use the space stationโ€™s Canadarm2 robotic arm to capture Dragon when it arrives at the station. Dragon is scheduled to depart the space station in August and return to Earth with more than 3,800 pounds of research, hardware and crew supplies.

So I have a question for you guys. I doubt that you'll even respond but I just thought I'd ask anyway. So here we go, in the 1960s when Russia and the USA were in the midst of the space race, was it really about getting to the Moon, or was it a thinly veiled militarily inspired attempt to show one another that they had the capability of delivering munitions through the upper atmosphere? A type of ICBM race? I really want to believe that it was purely scientific. But I don't see two Nations they are obsessed with their military prowess funding such a huge project without some sort of so-called dog in the fight. That is, the classic cost/benefit model of investment. I can see it both ways. I hope that one is more accurate than the other, but I'm also a realist and just wanted to ask the source. If you could please message me back with your thoughts opinions or facts I would love it.

@koolrobski ...except that you can see it with your own eyes.. and you are calling other people sheep. Crackpot conspiracies seem to have quite literally blinded you to fact since you can literally see the ISS with your own eyes.
