Photo by Michael Yamashita @yamashitaphoto | Lhasa’s Potala Palace, once the home of the Dalai Lama and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the most iconic image of Tibet. It is much less crowded at night, without the throngs of tourists and pilgrims that assemble during the day. But there will be fewer people visiting the palace this March, as the Chinese government has restricted foreign tourists from the Tibet Autonomous Region until April 1. March 10 marks the 60th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising against the government, and since protests in March of 2008, travel to the region has been restricted for a least a month each year.

Nice 👏👏👏👌👌

@lailai1019 My girl…Your English is pretty good😍

@yangchen_chen The most interesting joke I have ever heard this year… You can stay in India if you really believe you can get "all" rights in india.🤪 But stop lying about anything about Tibet!!!

You really have no idea how terrible Tibet was before the liberation by the PRC, do you?

nice pic but you don't need to write down anything that not relevant to. groundless remarks can only make a simply picture getting heavy. not a wise move bro
