Instead try to focus on on the SPECIFICS of how you are going to get there. For example: "I am going to try to get to the gym twice next week, starting 7am Monday. I know I am going to need to allow a certain amount of time and have these things prepared. I will also need to have bread and fruit at home so I can eat in the morning before the gym. Never tell yourself you are going to try. How many times have you used the sentence, I’ll try & make it to the gym tomorrow? Say it the exact way you want it to happen. I am going to go to the gym starting Monday 7am I will prepare my bag, clothes & food so I am ready to jump out of bed when my alarm goes off & I am excited to get going.
