Compassion is king! In a world flooded with differences, it is a great move to show compassion towards the opposing party, regardless of the game being played.
For example: I’m a capitalist — I’m a capitalist because I believe that anyone can work very hard, generate plenty cash and become really wealthy. So I decide to play the game of capitalism.
Obviously the definition of wealth is relative — some are completely fine with less hustle and more leisure. But I have defined wealth as doubling down on creating profitable companies and innovative products.
Now, just because I am predominately driven by profits does not mean I should go around and hate those who aren’t. Compassionately coexisting with conflicted beliefs is, in aggregate, more fruitful than living in fear or hate.
There are many lessons to learn from a conflicting idea that can work really well on a different game, but that is a different topic. At the end, we all just want to live a long, happy life — and this can be achieved when everyone is more sympathetic towards each other!
