My first edit! I know it’s not the best but I worked really hard at it it took me hours) so here goes. I wanted to share a part of my journey with you all. It was important to me to portray my found strength through perseverance. Fall down 7 times, get up eight, literally. I am currently at the Mayo in Minnesota for a number of weeks/months. I am working really hard to be able to potentially walk again, after not being able to walk at all for almost 3 years. The surgery I just had was to repair my permanently dislocated right hip, broken pelvis, and reconstruct those areas using bone grafts and advanced hardware. I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and my body is literally fighting me every step of the way. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder affecting your joints, skin, blood vessel walls, muscle, tendons, ligaments, skin, etc. your connective tissues —Connective tissue is a complex mixture of proteins and other substances that provide strength and elasticity to the underlying structures in your body. Think of collagen as your body’s “glue.” I don’t have proper glue and the glue that I do have is scarce and faulty. **Thank you to those of you that have been a part of my journey and thank you so much for watching!! .
