Check out my latest Pick of the Week, a 2015 Olema Cabernet Sauvignon out of the beautiful Sonoma County, CA.
This feature means so much to me for a variety of reasons, but the main reason is, I get to feature a wine by the legendary winemaker Tony Biagi, @patriawines.
Tony prides himself in the ability to craft some of the most amazing Cabernet Sauvignon’s Napa Valley has ever seen. That couldn’t be further from the truth with this wine.

This wine is stunning, showcasing dark garnet fruit that reveals masculinity, yet offers approachability in retrospect. On the nose, I get tons of spice with hints of sage and blackberries.
The palate is absolutely breathtaking with soft velvety tannins that seem to grip the entire mouth with strength, yet ease. Hints of minerality and grain-like textures coat the palate with enormous identity and presence, setting up a finish that doesn’t seem to go away.
You are truly missing out if you haven’t picked up a bottle of this wine yet. The 2015 is drinking beautifully right now, but hold 5-10 years to really get the most this wine has to offer.
