The Return of the living dead is my favourite horror movie of all time, it's easily number one, there is no contention. Watching this for the first time as a 12-year-old at my friend's house is a piece of nostalgia I wish I could relive. I was hooked from start to finish, when Frank told Freddy about the Trioxin barrels in the basement and explained how Night of the living dead was based on a true case... Oh man, I had goosebumps. The humour blends perfectly with the horror, it's never cheesy or goofy, It's used as a story telling device, it serves it's purpose to perfection. When I think of this movie I just don't think of a kick ass soundtrack, or a cool cast or inthralling visuals, I think of good times with friends. The beautiful things about movies is that they never change, your life and circumstances may change but your love for these particular movies will always bring your mind back to that place, I've always maintained that movies are the most influential of all the arts. Movies like this have made me a lifelong fan of the horror genre, I'm a movie person in general, but horror is by far my favourite. This movie came out 8 years before I was even born but it's a film I'll continue to enjoy watching for the rest of my life.
