So the pictures aren’t that great but this one deserves to be a post. My first ever trekking experience and oh boy was it ah-mazing.
I had almost refused to go coz i thot i wont be able to an 8 trek with a slightly bad knee. But thanks to @rumin289 i made up my mind to go and give it a try. We had decided that we would come back half way if we weren’t able to do it. As i started, within 10-15 min my heart rate was up and i started to pant. I was sure then i wont be able to do it. @11jahn said lets reach the base camp, it just 10min away. So i thought okay, let me atleast reach the base camp. It took us 40 min to reach the base camp btw and it had started to rain before we reached the base camp. Somewhere on the way to the base camp i really started to enjoy it and turned into the happy kid version of me and wanted to go more up. And the rain, it just made the happy kid happier. We reached the base camp, ate a little to fuel up and then the real trek started. After the base camp there was no real way, it was mainly rocks and only rocks. I had never climbed rocks before yesterday but as i kept going i understood how to use my hands and legs for better grip and climb, i was literally like a monkey then, i kept climbing. As we were 15 min away from the peak, it was not just rain, there was heavy wind and not to forget pebbles, yes, pebbles(mini rocks) falling from up the mountain and also the visibility decreased. At that moment we were climbing the edge of a huge rock and it started to seem very very dangerous. One loose grip or a slip of hand or leg and gravity would do its job. But we crossed that too and reached the peak. So this particular mountain had two peaks, the other one was higher and tougher than this one. We were pretty happy and satisfied having climbed one but @11jahn(who is a more regular trekker) said lets climb the other one too. We all decided against it and started to go back down. But when we reached half way down(this is the point where you could sort of horizontally traverse to the way to go up the other peak), @11jahn decided to go up the other peak..continued in comments
