Wherever Nancy Jacobsen turns, she seems to run into a veteran who could use a Quilts of Valor quilt to wrap them in warmth – whether it’s her friend’s assisted living facility, her husband’s coffee group or her voting precinct.
Nancy started quilting Quilts of Valor as a member of the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild, and has since created many more as a result of her personal experiences. In total, she completed 14 quilts this year on the 19-year old #APQS Ultima machine in her basement. “I’ve kept busy,” she said. “When you witness the humble nature and thankfulness of the people who get the quilts, it spurs you on to do more. Quilts of Valor quilts are much more than just quilts – they’re a symbol of thanks, and a way to say ‘Welcome home.’” If you’d like to help Nancy in her effort to thank veterans, please contact her quilt guild at the link in the bio. #QuiltmasCheer #quiltsofvalor
