Today's #100dayproject includes some of the time I was fortunate enough to trek Sapa last year, in particular this photo. I can't take credit for getting this amazing snap, the person that I was with at the time took it, but it really does sum up life in some other countries.
When we stopped at the homestay after a long days trekking, we'd sat down for a drink and started to chat. Then we saw a few water buffalo walk past, then we could hear a kid shouting. It was this tiny guy riding the back of one buffalo, stick in hand herding six or seven of these guys down to the river for water! Luckily quick thinking and with camera in hand there's now a photo of this (happy ) little guy to share.
Kids this young in places like Sapa work harder than a lot of adults ever will, some won't go to school, most won't finish school, all for a chance to grow rice for the rest of the world
