It’s #WorldDiabetesDay! (which I accidentally posted on my story yesterday bc I was a day ahead in my mind, oops 😆) AND the month of November is Diabetes Awareness Month 💙
I realized the other day that even though I’ve posted about having #Type1Diabetes multiple times, I very rarely post pictures of me with this little device that has completely changed my life - my #insulinpump! Even though it is literally a part of who I am, and has been for the last 16 years, I find I tend to hide it/take it off for photos. I typically remove it before my workouts, so any gym selfies I take tend to be sans-pump as well. But without it, I can tell you I wouldn’t be as healthy as I am, or have been able to do and accomplish half the things I’ve done in my life. Technology in the medical field is an incredible thing, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for diabetic treatments!
If you have any questions about T1 or the pump, head to my story and ask, and I’ll be answering them over the next 24 hours... or feel free to leave them in the comments ☺️ #t1dlookslikeme #someonecalldiabeticvogue
