My mind can't comprehend the pain...
The betrayal He felt as He carried His own cross to His death. The rooster's third crow that He prophesied it's still ringing in His ears. Weak because of the beating He had recieved, but non-the less not weak in mind. He kept His eye on the prize.
He could have threw the cross down and called on a league of angels but He did it anyway, He knew it was His Father's will for Him. The obedience behind our salvation. He gave of Himself then, He gives of Himself now. He doesn't change.
Today I reflect, today is good (Friday)because as a human I am bad,
but my saviors blood washes me clean.

They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!” Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.
