Tornerete a casa estremamente fieri di voi stessi. Non ha senso stare a farsi 400 mila seghe mentali quando basta dire due parole per risolvere tutto. E allora ditele senza paura quelle due parole, ditele sottovoce o urlandole. Ma ditele. E dopo ricominciate da dove vi eravate interrotti. Perché è una grandissima cazzata rimanere fermi ad aspettare qualcuno che non arriverà mai. E io ci ho messo ESATTAMENTE 22 ANNI fra una settimana per capirlo. Ed io oggi non aspetto e non rincorro più nessuno. Perché l'ho fatto per troppo tempo, lí ferma ad implorare amore. Come se l'amore dovessimo implorarlo. Lí ferma ad aspettare che si trasformasse nel mio principe azzurro. Lí ferma immobile a guardarlo perché credevo che l'aspetto fisico e due addominali fossero la cosa più importante. Ma non è così e l'ho capito troppo tardi. L'ho capito quando ormai non mi importava più niente. Quando ero già andata OLTRE. E allora chissene degli addominali o del fisico perfetto, io voglio l'amore vero. Seeing some very fuckin amazing results.. Fats going down.. Weights going up.. Three weeks ago was at 186 pounds.. Now currently at 203 pounds Had a good arm day today.. Covered in sweat and deadlifting can only mean one thing, today was legs day. It’s always brutal as I superset deadlifts with squats. In both exercises I try to emphasize the eccentric (commonly referred to as the negative) portion of the rep. I see a lot of people completely ignoring the negative, especially with deadlifts. If you’re the type who is picking up the weight and dropping it back to the floor, you’re only hurting yourself (and annoying everyone else).

🌐 In 2014 study by the American Council on Exercise compared EMG activation of the biceps with 7 different exercises. We don’t have time in this post to go through all of that research but we have already include that and hundreds others within the structure of our programming for our clients here at My DNA Coach. That’s what solid evidence first training programs do when based on science and not just one-size-fits-all. Study attached below. One finding which can surprise some people taken from the research:

“when training the biceps, other muscles, such as the AD and BR, can become involved in the lift, effectively taking a portion of the load away from the biceps, and thus reducing the relative effectiveness of that lift. With that in mind, researchers found that for the AD, the incline curl, concentration curl and the chin-up had significantly less muscle activation than the barbell curl. The incline curl and preacher curl elicited significantly lower muscle activation of the BR compared to the EZ curl (narrow grip).”

THE BOTTOM LINE
-
When you look at it, the concentration curl was significantly better than anything else. And I think the reason is that you’re really isolating the biceps muscle more so than in any of the other exercises. -
For males or females that want to improve their biceps, then there’s one clear choice: the concentration curl. But if you want to strengthen your biceps and other muscles of the arm for functional fitness, to make yourself better at the everyday movements we encounter in daily life, then you have more options. For sure, every arm workout should include the concentration curl, but the best way to ensure that you activate other key muscles of the arms is to sprinkle a couple of the other seven biceps exercises into your routine as well.
