#thankful I keep a stash of my superfood shake at work for long days like today! I don’t need to fancy it up with fluff....nope, this taste like chocolate heaven with just water. 🍫💧

Curbs my sweet tooth and my temptation to stop for fast food on my way home. And it’s packed full with prebiotics, probiotics, adaptogens and phytonutrients. That’s just a fancy way to say it’s got ALL the good stuff to keep my body nourished.

Today is a bitter sweet day. Today I said goodbye to where it all began. The place that made me fall in love with health and fitness. It was a very hard decision for me to make. Leaving this place was like leaving a family. I had made so many amazing friendships not only with the people attending the gym but also the staff. They helped me get through a hard time in my life. I have gained so much confidence and love for my self and I owe it all to them. For several months now I have been unhappy. Not in my body but in the place I was working out at. Things were changing and the main reason why I stayed for 2 years was the people I worked out with. Their amazing support and encouragement made it worth it. It has come down to me deciding on if I should stay and ride it out and maybe never be happy or leaving and finding something else. This will be the first time in my journey I will not have a gym membership. I will be working out from home. I’m honestly kinda nervous because I know I need that extra push that the people gave me at the gym. But in life sometimes we won’t have that extra push. Sometimes all we have is ourselves and we have to be our biggest motivators. So as I start this new journey I’m very optimistic on the future. Thank you @unleashedstrengthgym for everything you have taught me and everything you guys have done for me and my family! .

I’ve spent most of the day reflecting on what is the eve of my baby elbow’s 2nd birthday. This day 2 years ago I wrote that I would be Amber 2.0 after this journey. I didn’t know then what a gross understatement that would be. I feel like I’ve lived a thousand lives since then. I’ve cried a million tears. I’ve fought a hundred invisible battles. I doubted myself and my decision every single day. But somewhere along the line, all the tears, the doubt, and the struggle made way for something really quite beautiful and I’m comfortable in knowing that I have no regret for any of it. I think Amber version 999.99 is going to be pretty amazing. ❤️

Talking about workout intensity below ... Oh, hey, it’s me! So I like to keep my Instagram really current and positive, but lately I’ve realized I’ve learned so much and made so many changes to my health and fitness life over the last 3-4 years that I have to go back and share more of it.

I got the question the other day “how did you go back to intense exercise after recovering from hypothalamic amenorrhea?” — The answer? It took a while! Right now, I do no more than 1 hour of intense HIIT cardio or power workouts a week. That’s it! The rest of my workouts are lighter, like Barre, circuit training and BODYPUMP — (which is not easy, but it also doesn’t have to be crazy intense either). I also always take a rest day or two each week, I never work out for longer than an hour, and I eat PLENTY of food — like a lot of healthy food and healthy fat, and I manage my stress in other ways to make sure I’m balanced. It’s important to do so if you have a history of over-exercising and a sensitive system — treat your bod right! Yes, you can go back to maybe 1 intense workout a week one day — but maybe you never will, and that’s okay too! There’s plenty of other ways to move and stay fit that won’t leave you totally spent.

Calma. Não estou dizendo pra não seguir musa fitness, mas para ser crítico em relação a esses perfis.
Essa galera prega uma vida mara e baseada em restrição alimentar ( a maioria), e isso não é legal e nem de longe é saúde, e detalhe: real. .
Saúde é ter equilíbrio e não achar o máximo dizer que vive de dieta.
Pra que jacar, ter dia do lixo, quando se pode ter equilíbrio na alimentação? Ter um novo comportamento alimentar, sem medo de comida?!

Isso sim é mara e é legal.
Já fui ligadona nisso. Já segui musas fitness, e sempre me frustrava e me achava péssima pq sempre me comparava com ela 😑
A gente sofre, e muito. Então vamos olhar pra nossa vida, nosso corpo e nossa realidade?
