Can’t believe the Boston Marathon was 3 months ago today! What an incredible experience! I think about that day all the time and it still makes me swell with emotion. What a day, beginning to end, between the bad weather, the cheering crowds, the support from the volunteers, the sense of accomplishment, there was so much I took away from that day.. So when I saw this overpass at mile 25 in the pouring rain I decided to stop and capture this moment with the #bostonstrong sign. Appropriate given what this race represents and what we all had accomplished that day. Here I was, less then 1 mile from the finish line. Despite all that I endured between the cold and rain and the mental fatigue, I knew I had it. I completed my mission and felt empowered by it. 3 months later I reflect on that day and it triggers all sorts of emotions. Most do not get it, unless there a runner. For me I appreciate what I accomplished so much more so today given where I came from. Growing up I was never a runner and the thought of running the Boston Marathon was as likely as my climbing Mount Everest. That’s what makes this one of the biggest accomplishments in my life and Im so grateful for all those who made it possible.. #dad#bostonmarathon#boston2018#bostonmarathon2018#reflection#runnerscommunity#marathonrunner#boston#runnersofinstagram#runner#runningman#marathon#runchat#bostonbruinsfoundation
Today’s run nearly didn’t happen, I woke up feeling like my back wouldn’t cope with running and I was done, again! But I got out there, no expectations to see what I could do. Three small phrases by a stranger, a Bostonian no less, I ran past made all the difference this morning. 1. Did you run the Boston Marathon? 2. You must be very fit? 3. You are amazing! With that I remembered why I run. 1. It makes me feel good in my mind and body! 2. I love running. 3. So I can show my girls that you can achieve anything if you train or work hard for it! Nothing comes easy and returning from injury is tough but I know I can come back, I have done it before and I will do it again #runnunggirl#runningmum#bostonmarathon2017#bostonmarathonfinisher#bostonqualifierx2#runstrong#bostonstrong#iwillbeback#berlin2019
This one was certainly earned. Similar to several of my fellow marathoners I went into this marathon physically & mentally ready to rock a 3:10 PR - UNTIL the weather became a factor. I was NOT physically ready for 35+ mph headwinds & driving rain. ♀️ BUT was mentally ready to finish with a positive attitude along fellow teammates for @team_mr8 .
I smiled, I cried, I ran, I conquered. Just like that my 8th Boston marathon was in the books. .
A piece of paper showing stats will never describe the experience. I can now saw I’ve survived 2012 heat, the 2018 monsoon - 2019...I’m coming for ya! Who’s with me? ♀️ #runchat .
“One more step, one more lift, a little bit faster, a little bit harder - pushing your limit a little more each time until you forget you have limits. That’s when the fun begins. That’s when you start doing things you never thought you could. That’s when you stop caring about what you can’t do. Because what you can do is better every day. All because you took that extra, little step.” - Nike
Kicked another treadmill workout’s ass tonight. Because I haven’t found my leg’s limit yet. Maybe it’s just not there. Maybe it is. Either way I’ll keep pushing until I find it.
Thank you @ellengoeseverywhere for a killer Killer 3’s!! @fillauerallproallstars Athlete #bladerunner #dothework #heartbreakersrun #mondaymotivation #bostonstrong

Location: Pavement Coffee House, Boston University, Boston MA
Summary: The cleanliness of this bathroom is surprising considering this is one of the most popular coffee shops on Boston University’s campus, and that it’s run by hipsters. It has your standard automatic sink and manual soap dispenser. The Xlerator hand drier provides maximum hand drying with scorching hot air at high velocities
Balancing work and play in Boston! This week, our North America health team got together for an amazing team-building experience. They were able to help package the health and wellness kits that go out to @rosies_place beneficiaries. Rosie’s Place was the first women's shelter in the US, and it now supports more than 12k women a year. We love being able to work alongside organizations with such powerful missions. #InsideWE#WEGive
