Champagne for breakfast... with my dietitian! And Amie's first taste of the 2006 Frerejean Frères Premier Cru Extra Brut.
50% chardonnay, 50% pinot noir and subtle dosage of 7.5 g/l sugar (I was sharing it with my dietitian 🤣). All the @champagnefrerejeanfreres champagnes are a minimum of premier cru and minimum 4 years on lees... the 2006 was aged 11 years! I love this champagne and just opening it, could instantly smell delicious rich, ripe fruit and warm brioche. My appointment was at 7am - so I only had a small taste (#drinkresponsibly) and left the bottle with Amie to enjoy over the weekend. Preferably while she was writing up my meal plan. I was hoping she would see how amazing champagne can be and she might be inclined to include more champagne calories in my macros 🤣
I'm pretty sure she knows that from time to time I might indulge in more than the 3 standard drinks a week she allocates me in my meal plan. Just sometimes 😉

The Old J Collection is Available In Store! One of our favourites is the @oldjspicedrum it is one of the many bottlings chasing after the flavour of the last generation of spiced rum, and one that comes pretty close. Rich and sweet with a fair whack of vanilla in the mix.
I prefer staying in on Valentines Day🧡& using it as an excuse to pop open some champagne🥂& cook a nice meal👩🏼🍳 . Last night we sipped on this gorgeous half bottle of Brut Rosé from @champagne_billecart_salmon I paired it with a crab🦀& squid ink🦑tortellini🤤from @latuapasta & a homemade kale🥬anchovy, tomato🍅& toasted bread crumb salad .
