Not sure whether you should for fresh, or frozen foods when purchasing your berries?
Well, the truth is there are advantages and disadvantages to both options.

Fresh Berries -
When picked fresh yourself, they taste better and are as nature intended.
They maintain their physical integrity which makes them more aesthetically appealing and enjoyable to eat.
Often picked before they are completely ripe, so they miss out on reaching their maximum nutrient potential.
They don’t last very long after purchasing.
More chemicals and pesticides are used for fresh berries, as it helps to retain their integrity and make them last longer.
Frozen Berries -
They are picked at their optimal ripeness, then washed and frozen immediately, locking in all the nutrients and preventing decay.
They last up to 12 months in your freezer.
Fewer chemicals and pesticides used.
They tend to be cheaper.
When thawed some berries become soft making them less enjoyable unless used in a smoothie, or for cooking.
Certain brands of frozen berries add sugar before freezing. So check the ingredients.
