This morning I was at the gym for leg day. There was a guy in the squat rack next to mine. I guess he was watching me but I didn't notice until I was done with my sets and he approached me. I braced myself for the normal conversation- is he going to give me unsolicited, crappy advice? Try to hit on me? What? "Hey, aren't bands just the best? I think the big rubber bands are some of the most important tools for building strength. Im happy to see someone else using them. Looks like you're doing really good work!" And then he was gone. It's like a Gym Unicorn! A pleasant social interaction with no alterior motive that I could glean. Just a dude appreciating a good workout. Thanks, gym dude, for being cool!

Lots of supplementary lifts. Learning patience through some heavy pause deadlifts is infuriating por decir lo menos pero mi peso muerto does look a lot better ya que estoy usando mis piernas mas. Aquí tengo 209 libras por 3 sets 5 repeticiones a @8.

Progress. This morning saw a smile and a little shoulder shimmy at the gym. A lot to be thankful today. New @arianagrande hair bows, sunshine, a lotta pink and goals about to be tackled. Each day at a time, the spark is a little brighter today. Tomorrow it might not be, but self awareness is everything.
Prep for my first comp starts on monday and im hungry. Hungry to push, hungry to sparkle, hungry to do this for myself.

Why?
They’re the hardest thing on your spine and who wants or needs bruises on your spine when there’s a MILLION other great core exercises out there!!
Our spines have a natural flexion/curvature to it, so when we put force against that natural path it can cause pain along the spine that is quite uncomfortable and completely unnecessary!

Here’s three BETTER options:
(You can do these with or without a BOSU Ball.)
1. BOSU Single Leg Crunch 3x8 each
2. BOSU Mountain Climbers 3x24
3. BOSU Knee Tucks (Advanced version of this would be hands off the ball😉) 3x12
