"Our Views Were Hinted At Silhouettes In The Mist"
Today we hiked up and down Yellow Mountain in Haungshan. Approximately 1,864 meters. It took us six and a half hours to complete the trip. Yellow mountain is known for its extreme beauty in its rock faces and and views from the top and with many peaks to walk to once up there it gives you a 360' view. Unless it's misty and raining.
Our views consisted mostly of hinted at silhouettes in the mist. We were drenched by the time our descent started, with cramping calf muscles from 3 hours of stairs up, and 3 hours of stars down. But it's beauty was still evident for me. It was a mysterious giant. It seemed to go on forever. Each peak we reached, as we looked up 500 meters, there peaked another. It was beautiful, and because of the weather it was peaceful and still. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
