January can often be a quiet and slow month in the restaurant world, but last night we livened things up with a beer and tequila lab!
Pairing #Carlsberg with #Corralejo Blanco, #1664blanc with Corralejo Reposoda, and #Somersby with Corralejo Anejo turned out to be an amazing balance of flavors for our palates.
We kicked things off with a little experiment highlighting how important your sense of smell is to tasting flavor. By pinching your nose, and chewing on something like the sour patch kid pictured above, and releasing your nose to breathe in, you experience a rush of flavor all at once. You should always smell what you’re eating or drinking to truly taste it.
Who knew we could create such great drinks by combining the beer and tequila as well! A Carlsberg Michelada and a 1664 Blanc Paloma were just the thing to cap off the evening.
