Today feels like the calm in the storm. I feel like I’ve been going a million miles a minute with work being insane with hosting a Thanksgiving dinner (that yours truly made) I have multiple thanksgivings on their way while prepping for my brother’s wedding in Finland and the reception back home. (Hence the crazy mess behind me of trying to pack). But today I take a step back to breathe and focus on enjoying my day. I’ll bring pouring cider at Fobab today and then enjoying my afternoon of drinking the cider. I’m happy to just enjoy my time with friends and enjoy a few good drinks. And then I’ll be ready to hop back on the crazy train of cooking and packing and loving all the friends and family time over the next few weeks. So to crafted barrel aged beer and cider! Enjoy your Saturday responsibly.
Contrasting Worlds | The grounds and views from the steps leading up to the Summer Palace are world’s apart. Temples and craftsmanship seeped in history, dating back as early as the C12th. The Palace is considered one of the largest and most beautifully landscaped estates and architectural complexes in China (this isn’t actually the Palace in the photo - The Palace is wayyyyyy bigger!). In the back ground miles away to the right you see vast kms of unpopulated mountains, and to the left the high rise buildings of busy Beijing. We were so blessed with blue skies and no smog to see the extreme contrast. A must see for any visitor - thanks for the heads up @deannavvong 😘 . . #temples#palace#views#scenic#culture#education#daysoff#worksperks#summerpalace#travel#explore
