Quite often I hear from my colleagues and friends that their kids hesitate to eat dal (lentils). Though, I know lot of parents who themselves do not like to eat dal……say it’s boring. So, let’s add excitement to dal…..you must have heard about cheese balls or meat balls but ITBawarchi presents you Dal balls.  Preparation:

Cook mix dal tadka/masala using little water (just enough to cook). In case it’s too moist to roll balls, fry it to reduce the water content. Cool it and add cheddar cheese, powdered black pepper, garlic powder.  In case you do not like cheese, panner can also be added. Mix and knead well. While rolling out, fill it with half teaspoon of frozen white butter and roll it. Butter does three things; adds taste, moisture and excitement J

For Frying:

One at a time, dust dal ball with rice flour (dry), then give it an egg bath. Now, coat it with rice flour nicely and give an egg bath again. Then coat it with crushed cornflakes generously, keep aside. (In case you do not eat egg, then use corn flour and water mixture). Prepare all the balls in similar manner. Let them rest in the refrigerator for half an hour. Fry them on slow heat till they turn golden, but do not overcook.

Serve dal balls with homemade sweet chilli sauce or the one you like. Also, you can serve them with your choice of gravy/sauce…….get going, get creative…….for the love of cooking.

BUENOS DIAAAAAS HERMOSOS y feliz DOMINGO!❤️ hoy desayunamos PANCITO salado caserooooo que NO PUEDO explicarte lo riquísimo que estaaaa!! 🤤 vas a necesitar primero mezclar todos los ingredientes secos:.

👉🏻 2 cucharadas de harina de avena.
👉🏻 2 cucharadas de harina de coco.
👉🏻 2 cucharadas de harina de mezcla de panquecas.
👉🏻 2 cucharadas de proteína sin sabor en polvo.
👉🏻 orégano + sal marina + cebolla en hojuelas + ajo en polvo (si no tienes cebolla en hojuelas agrega en cuadritos bien chiquiticos, pero esto LE DA EL TOQUE increíble!😍).
👉🏻 polvo para hornear + bicarbonato de sodio.

🍞 mezclar bien todos los ingredientes y luego agregar los ingredientes húmedos:.
.
👉🏻 1 huevo + 2 claras.
👉🏻 1 cucharadita de aceite de oliva.
👉🏻 1/3 de leche de almendras o la que tengas.
.
🍞 mezclar bien todos los ingredientes hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea.
.
🍞luego que tengas lista la mezcla, agrega tomate cherry + arugula + white chicken bajo en sodio.
.
🔥 vierte la mezcla en un recipiente pequeño APTO para horno a 350g hasta que el palillo salga limpio 🤤.

Though today is a cheat day I have not eaten anything unhealthy so far. This is an evening snack. Normally this would have been pre-workout snack time but Sunday is rest day, so just sticking to eating schedule *wholegrain flakes in chicken broth*

•Cheat meal belirli bir süre uygulanan diyetin vücuttaki etkilerinin devam ettirebilmesi adına diyet dışına çıktığımız kaçamak öğünlerdir.

•Diyetten çok da uzaklaşmak istemeyen kişiler cheat meal da tatlılardan uzak durabilir, onun yerine hamburger gibi hem kalorisi hem protein oranı yüksek öğünler seçebilir. Ama diyet boyu şekerden uzak durulduğu için seçimler daha çok tatlıdan yana😊
•Cheat meal kaç kere yapacağınız kişiden kişiye, beslenme programına, fiziksel aktivitesine, hedeflerine göre değişkenlik gösterebilecek bir durumdur. Ama diyet rutinin çok bozulmaması adına çok sık tercih edilmemelidir. Çok sık cheat meal yaparsanız tatlı, hamburger gibi normalde yemediğiniz öğünlerden uzak durmanız daha zor olacaktır. So, we're coming up on Thanksgiving... The day of overindulgence.
I've made a commitment to myself to eat super healthy & structured this entire week, leading up to this Thursday. Starting today, my caloric deficit will be implemented & adhered to. I'm going to log every tiny item that crosses these lips.

Ever since I started going to the gym, logging my food & counting calories took a backseat to my overall fitness & weightlifting. Sure, I still chose healthier options & tried not to binge on anything, but I lost that structured eating when I had other priorities. This week, priority no.1 is going to be logging my food & staying within my calorie allowance. I'm doing this with the thought in mind, that I know Thanksgiving will be a day when I'm not going to cry over: how much butter is in that dish, or how much sugar was used in that pie, or whether they let the fat drain out before they made that meat pie thingy. 🤷 I'm going to want to try granny's sweet potato casserole complete with baby marshmallow & Bobby-Sue's cheddar dumplings. I want to (somewhat) ignore my healthy journey for the one day when my family wants to feed me & catch up on my life. Thanksgiving isn't about what I can & can't have, it's about being thankful for what I do have. I have a family who wants to show their love with comfort foods & wants to talk about life over a glass of wine (or a beer, depending on who I'm talking with). Because, after all, I'm not going to gain that 57 lbs back, after one night of eating a large supper plus dessert. It'll mostly be the food in my stomach, water retention, & the massive poo that I'm going to have the following day. 💩

It's a good thing my weekly weigh-day is on a Wednesday. 😉
