I can’t believe how fast we’ve grown, but I never want to hear how fast we’ve grown apart.
Today, my brother is 18 & 4 days old.
18 is when most teens start to drop their high-school reputation to reinvent themselves
18 is d i s c o v e r i n g what one’s passion & purpose is.
It’s when you start looking at the world in a macro perspective, & realize, that
18 is only the beginning.
My advice for anyone turning 18:
Fall in love with yourself. Learn to love your o w n company. Learn to appreciate what you have. Learn about what’s truly important to you.
Figure out the kind of person you want to be to yourself, so you’re able to reflect on those you surround yourself with. It’s similar to a flight attendant, when they tell you to strap your O2 mask on before assisting others; it’s more effective if you taken care of yourself, before assisting others.
Love yourself; it will show & affect others around you more than you’d think.
Be happy with who you are, & who you’re developing into.
Happiness is your own choice
Your own state of mind.
