I get lots of questions about the specific criteria in your lifestyle being used to determine what split might work best for you. Here's some good reasons for doing the 3,4,5 and 6 day splits that might help you see which one would fit best into your lifestyle.

3-DAY SPLIT: Best if you're a beginner, or you are short on gym time in the week, or you love getting a full body pump. These will be 3 full body workouts a week.

4-DAY SPLIT: Best if you're an intermediate (2-4 years lifting), have a decent amount of time for the gym, or are looking for an ideal training volume for yourself. This will be 2 upper body workouts and 2 lower body workouts a week (1 strength day, 1 hypertrophy day for each).

5-DAY SPLIT: Best if you're between intermediate/advanced (2-4+ years training), have a good amount of time for the gym, or want a high volume split. This will include an upper day and a lower day (both strength days), as well as a push, pull and leg day (all hypertrophy days).

6-DAY SPLIT: Best if you're advanced (4+ years training), have lots of time for the gym, or want to maximize your total training volume. This will include 2 push days, 2 pull days, and 2 leg days a week (1 strength day and 1 hypertrophy day for each).

I am a hard working stay at home momma 🤱 of one energetic boy. Five years ago he developed allergies & my life changed. We stopped going outside to run all day 🏃‍♀️ & found ourselves lazy and lounging around. 🛋 Fast forward five years, I had gained ⬆️ 40 pounds, ate mostly fast food out of convenience 🍟 and had a very sedentary life. 🤖I've been motivated plenty of times. Especially during my morbidly obese days. Hear some new thing where I can eat whatever I want and lose weight? I'm in! Motivated! 6 weeks to rock hard abs? Sounds good! I'm in, motivated! Detox plans that cleans all the bad fatty cells out and forces my body to reboot and create better cells for a beach body? Take my money, motivated!

🤖I hate this motivation cycle I always fall into. I'll get motivated so I'll start planning ahead. Before I even take my first step, I lose some motivation so I go look for more. Good, motivated again, lets plan some more. Close to taking the first step now, but wait, I'm kinda unsure. Motivation drops again, look for another source of motivation. Yeah yeah! You're right! I got this! Wait.. do I got this? Hmm... where's that other motivation.

🤖I'd be lying if I didn't look for motivation during my weight loss journey tho. Plenty of it. Looked for motivational quotes, looked for other people's weight loss journeys, look for other people's progress pics, everything. But.. it's really just a short term feel good moment.

🤖I got through over 110lbs(50kg) through... persistence. Grit. I got here cos I stuck to the plan, and never wavered. Motivation helped make it fun, party-like a few times I guess but at the end of the day it was merely putting my head down, and keep stepping forward. A lot of the times, actually the majority of the time, I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I just knew that I was doing, and kinda put all my chips there.

This is my T1D’s favorite low carb dish and it is easy to make. •⬇️⬇️⬇️
Recipe from Low Carb Yum
⬇️⬇️⬇️•



Ingredients
* 2 pounds ground beef
* 2 cloves large garlic
* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
* 1 pound no sugar bacon cooked and chopped
* 8 eggs see note
* 1 can tomato paste 6 ounces
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
* 12 ounces grated cheddar cheese divided



Instructions
* Brown ground beef with garlic and onion powder.
* Drain excess grease, then spread beef on bottom of 9x13-inch casserole pan.
* Stir bacon pieces into cooked beef.
* In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, tomato paste, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until well combined.
* Stir 8 ounces grated cheese into egg mixture.
* Pour egg mixture over beef and bacon.
* Top with remaining 4 ounces of grated cheese.
* Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Its a total of 5 supersets starting with 30 reps for triceps and 20 for biceps and you work your way down. Reason for extra reps on tris is because they can take more load compared to bis👊🏻

Lets start by saying , if you eat the meal on the left, it does NOT mean you know less, will achieve less, or are NOT a flexible dieter. Typically, the opposite is true.

But this post is to simply paint a picture of the ‘black and white’ mentality some people may have when it comes to dieting and nutrition.

I will be the first to agree (I mean, hard to argue with logic and science) that nutrient-dense foods are always going to be superior than calorie dense foods from a technical and scientific standpoint. But once again, fitness encompasses much more than just physiology. Do not neglect the importance of psychology.

Psychology can always be respresented by adherence. The more satisfied you are mentally with a diet plan or program (ie typically the less restrictive it is), the chances of you seeing results over time are much greater. On top of that factor, its clear that from a general umbrella of physiology, ‘fitting it in your macros’ will still mitigate any damage done in terms of negative body composition or performance consequences. It is simply more practical for more people, especially given the context of the society and world we live in and that surrounds us. 💯

It can be easy to throw physical activity out the window when things get busy. Historically, work trips have always been a great example of this for me, but I refuse to fall into that trap this time around. .

I made it to the hotel gym this morning, and I plan to make it to the free 6 AM yoga class tomorrow. Instead of taking Uber or Lyft as suggested to our conference location from the hotel, I walked the 1.5 miles there and back. Not only did I get in a lot of steps, but I also got to experience Denver in a way that you can't from a car. It's a win-win! Take THAT, business travel lazyness!
