When we think about physical reactions to emotions, we often remember the uncomfortable reactions to difficult emotions. However, all emotions have a physical impact. In fact, that’s often how we know or show that we are feeling something.
When people describe how they feel during a period of joy or happiness they describe:
🌼increase in energy
🌼increase in sensory experience - colors are brighter, sounds are prettier, the air feels nicer.
🌼increase in endorphins
🌼Shoulders drop, posture improves
🌼Facial muscles move to a smile or relaxed
🌼a feeling of lightness
🌼butterflies and a special type of heartbeat
