Happy International Day of Yoga 🧘♀️ Funnily enough, Yoga is the reason I am a Pilates teacher.
I didn’t get yoga at first.
Hyper mobile joints allowed me to get into poses easily but I didn’t feel them.
My back would hurt in the deep back bends teachers would encourage me into.
My shoulders hurt from down dog (and how on Earth was this a rest pose??) I was my lack of understanding yoga and my body that took me into Pilates.
There I understood how to engage my core.
I got that going to the end range was not my goal but to hold back and build the strength I needed.
I learned to listen to my body.
Then I got yoga. Now I adore it.
Yoga is not above poses like the one above - even if they’re beautiful and fun, but it is about learning to listen to your body.
Wishing you all a wonderful and beautiful day filled with gratitude and happiness.
Ultimately that is what yoga truly is.

Are you fully committed to your fitness goals?
Do you expect to get the results quickly?
Whether your fitness goal is to lose weight, decrease body fat, build muscle, or simply live a healthier lifestyle...
One of the big keys to your long term success is that you trust the process.
You have to make the conscious decision to commit to improving and get better.....
There will be mornings when you wake up and you just don't feel like exercising...
You'd rather stay in bed or chillout with your friends....
️♂️There will be times when you just feel like doing the same workout when in fact, you should be progressing to more difficult exercises...
And there will also be those frustrating times where you start doubting your abilties and feel like you are just too far away from reaching your goals...
But in my view, it is at these points of absolute bleakness that separates the winners from the ones that dont get the results they want. --
Fact: Losers quit but winners persist.
More often than not, your commitment/discipline and training to a good workout program will get you the results you are looking for. Trust in process, enjoy it, be patient and focus on getting sustainable results.
I hope this Motivated you, tag a friend who you think this motivation.
Another one (selfie) doing these for two reasons
1 . so you can guys can see progression during this cut which is at day 5 (early days!)
2.I need to post a picture in order for me to say what I want to say.
Okay so this might seem a bit 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 but bare with me. The first thing I do in the morning is do my bed.
The reason being is that it’s a task, that takes very little time (1 minute).
BOOM! First task done. Now onto the next then the next and the next. It’s a snowball effect
Why do you think in the military, everyone has to do their beds in the morning?
It’s something small and you might not think about at all but believe me, success is the small positive actions we take consistently.
Start your morning right, and your day will be great
Do you make your bed in the morning or nah? Let me know

Very naughty breakfast before Siam Park - omelette, beans, bacon, 1 sausage and a hash brown. Then 2 slices of seeded toast. One with Nutella and one with butter and marmalade. Needed the calories to burn running round the water park today 🤪 Off we go #holiday#holidays#tenerife#siampark#waterparkday#makingmemories
Happy international yoga day 🧘🏻♀️ I don’t want to sound like a wanker but this year I’ve learnt to breathe better. Breathing through long intervals. Heavy sets. Weaving my way through crowds of slow walkers. Passive aggressive emails. Annoying people. It’s a no brainer but it’s strange how much we hold our breath throughout the day when we could just exhale the bullshit to give us strength to deal with it. Admittedly I haven’t been on the mat much lately but looking forward to a good WOD and stretch with @lunch_and_lycra tonight ♀️
Quarter turn to the right.
• #tbt to South Coast 2018I’ve been in two minds as to wether I should compete for the rest of the year or finish off my studies and give 2019 all I’ve got with #bodybuilding. It’s a tough decision as I love bodybuilding but I need my exams completed for the next step of my plan. #lifechanges
One thing I will never do is put myself on a stage underdeveloped or without the correct mindset. EGP taught me that.
Just remember that everyone is going through something, life changes etc so be respectful and don’t be a dick. Here’s to a fantastic Thursday off from work for me and lots of planning.
Managed a quick pic before chowing down on this yummy Cajun chicken beans and rice before heading to the gym
When starting a phase of dieting or on a journey to transform your body, you want to draw up a plan of action.
Calculating your protein, carbohydrate and fat needs is usually where most start but will these 'magical' numbers mean you will be successful?
Well no it certainly won't, in theory, these numbers are important for a number of psychological and physiological factors throughout your transformation. For instance, protein helps preserve lean tissue and increase it, carbohydrates will help with energy production and pushing you in the gym, fats help with hormonal balance and important for your cells.
Even if you spend hours calculating the perfect plan of action with the right amount of macronutrients and an amazing training plan with just the right amount of volume/rest factored to change your body. The real magic lies in your ability to adhere to a plan.
It seems pretty simple but I wish it was seen in the same light. Most people want to jump between different fads and programs looking for the 'magic' but don't realise that will only result in more disappointment because they're failing to follow the number 1 rule - adherence.
The success of ANY plan is in your ability to execute and adhere to it. All these numbers are an estimate after all, sometimes things may not go quite the way you expected. This is why you can go BACK and make a few changes if needed so you CAN adhere to it.
Over and out, Coach Shubz.

Raise your hand if your parents had to remind you to be patient as a kid!
Learning to be patient in your training or diet will be an incredibly useful tool. Results don't happen overnight, so learning to take the small, daily victories is a very important concept.
This is especially true for those just starting out. You may want overnight results, but that's just not how it works in fitness. Don't fall for those quick fixes promising instant results, unless they're selling magic it's not going to work.
