Today I decided to take a rest day. At first I felt a little bad about it. I thought, it’s Monday - I have to start the week off right and get to the gym. But I know how important it is to listen to your body and not over exert yourself so here I am in bed, writing this post!
•”When you get tired, learn to rest, not quit.” Self care is crucial and something I’m still working to improve everyday. Getting proper sleep is one way to take care of your body and that’s what I’m going to work on tonight! Heading to bed early so I can wake up, crush leg day, and head to work! It’s so simple, but so hard for some of us with how busy we are. Let’s start the week off by doing 1 thing in regards to self care whether it be: sleeping enough, eating nutritious foods, getting exercise, going for a walk during lunch, making time for relaxation, meditating, writing in a reflective journal, etc. There’s so many ways to love yourself and take care of the body you’re in.
