TOP TIPS TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.....It can be frustrating when we are living by the 'eat less do more' mantra and not seeing the results we've been promised! Sometimes this just isn't the case - we can easily get lost in the data telling us that we should do more of this or more of that. Our bodies are all so different and respond uniquely to different strategies. While there is no 'one size fits all' approach, here are some of my tips for helping you out of that frustrating plateau...

🔹Try to remove refined sugars and alcohol (even if it's reduced this can make a huge difference to your weight loss journey and progression)

🔹Eat MORE food. Instead of having 3 huge meals and snacking in-between, find yourself a healthy selection of snacks (fruits, veg, nuts, natural yoghurt, smoothies, eggs etc) and eat often throughout the day so your body doesn't start to unnecessarily crave.

🔹Focus on getting adequate sleep. Sleep is really SO important to our fitness, health and weight loss journey. Try and wind down with no tv, phone or electronics at least half an hour before bed and let your body switch off with a good old fashioned book or your own thoughts. ⠀
🔹 Try to exercise for at least 15/ 20 minutes a day 🔹Reducing stress - meditation is a great answer here!

Of course, sometimes the answer IS to simply eat less rubbish and move your body more. But if you really feel you have given this a good go and you're struggling to see any benefits then it might be time to reassess and consider these other factors. Don't give up just because you aren't seeing results instantly, there is always an answer and a solution to moving forward!

Your body is composed of two types of mass: body fat and fat-free mass.

Body fat can be found in muscle tissue, under the skin (subcutaneous fat), or around organs (visceral fat). Some fat is necessary for overall health. It is called essential fat and it helps protect internal organs, stores fuel for energy, and regulates important body hormones. But you may also have excess storage of fat and non-essential body fat.

Fat-free mass includes bone, water, muscle, organs, and tissues. It may also be called lean tissue. These tissues are metabolically active, burning calories for energy, while body fat is not.

Body fat percent is a measurement of body composition telling how much of the weight of your body is fat. The percentage of your body that is not fat is fat-free mass. There are normal ranges for body fat, which differ for men and women.

Weighing yourself on a regular bathroom scale does not truly assess your body composition because a regular scale cannot tell how much of your total weight is comprised of water, fat, or muscle.

CORE BLADE CHEST WORKOUT
One of the lesser known features of Core Blades is the ability to build lean mass.
Though they only weight 3-7lbs, the nature of the movements allow you to generate 100 + lbs of force on each swing.
This coupled with the freedom of movement, lets you target any #muscle and any range of motion in the #core, shoulders, chest, back, and arms.
Not only will this build muscle, but it also teaches your body to decelerate high levels of force at angles and ranges often seen in sports and athletics. This skill is very useful for injury recovery and prevention.
