The field is part of a local project of the UCOOA (Union des coopératives agropastorales du Congo) directed by Timothée Ndaye and managed by Kamukenji Clarisse who supervises the local activities. The project works with 50 internally displaced mothers who have lost their husbands in the conflicts and is planning to grow pondu (cassava), nyenye (red beans) and bambou (fastest growing wood to be used to build houses). They come from different areas of the Greater Kasaï region and fled the conflicts (Mwamba Mbuji, Tshipidinga, Katumba, Tshikapa, Ttambwe).
