A big thank you to Raf’s Cleaning Services for restoring our sofas, rugs and carpets to their former glory.

This area sees a lot of traffic on a daily basis and has literally seen blood, sweat and tears.

I can’t believe how clean they managed to get that rug.

Last week, I trained 4 days back to back since I knew I wasn't going to get training time in during my vacation. It wasn't optimal, but was preferable to detraining. I'll have to do the same this week and then I'll be back to my normal schedule.
Yesterday, I was a bit jet lagged and fatigued (I walked a lot in Mexico), but I still trained. I PRed my single at RPE 8. Would you look at that! I hit 215 @9.5 in June, and I hit 214@8 yesterday. 225 should be going down soon.

Not the best pic because I’m still a 🐓 in the gym but I crushed some glutes today! So👏🏻many👏🏻deadlifts👏🏻 And thanks to having a barbell I was able to go a little heavier so that should be terrible tomorrow😂 No squat rack or Smith machine were used but I’m thinking I’ll try next week! So the challenge so far: week 1 I killed and was SO sore! Week 2 my fridge broke and literally all my food went bad (couldn’t figure out why all my fruit kept rotting overnight lol) Week 3 I was out of town and didn’t have a gym annnnd now week 4 I hurt my lower back on the first workout! But guess what?! I stayed positive the whole time and that made all the difference! It took two weeks to fix the fridge but I still made the decision to eat healthy when I could have easily eaten poorly. I made sure to plan out my workouts and catch back up after I was out of town when it would have been easier to skip them. And now I’m doing as much as I can while letting my back heal at the same time instead of being mad or upset and giving up. I also have learned from my mistake (bad squat form!) and am thankful that it isn’t much worse and that I wasn’t using too much weight! The point of saying all this is that being adaptable is part of life! Nothing is ever going to be perfect. Every single one of us will be thrown obstacles over this 8 weeks and it’s how you overcome them that counts. If you ever feel like quitting remember why you signed up to do this challenge in the first place! 💞💪🏼💃🏻 #khsummerchallenge #khsummerchallenge18

Day 8.....road to state!
Today I was asked to do the hardest workout I've ever done. Back squats, front squats, power cleans, etc. Never have I done that much volume with that much weight. I had to pause many times. I screamed out my final reps on my sets. I didn't know where I was going to find the strength to finish the workout, yet I did. There was a girl who came up to me in between sets and said she was in tears watching me hobble around in between sets because she could see how sore I was but I pushed through every rep. She told me she wished she had the heart I did and that she'd remember me when she wants to quit her workouts. It doesn't take strength to finish a workout....
It takes heart. Something we all have. If you think you can, you will. If you think you can't, you won't. Don't ever let the word "can't" ever cross your lips again ❤️
The video is my 8th set of 4 of power cleans. I was so tired but pushed out every rep.

Sognando quel giorno in cui avrò l'abilità di fare un "Handastand Press" come una leggera farfalla 😂 ultimamente mi sento molto ispirata nella mia pratica di yoga. Tante cose su cui sto lavorando.. tante visualizzazioni, mi sembra di essere tornata a due anni fa, quando iniziai ed ero eccitatissima!! L'unica differenza che posso piacevolmente notare sul mio approccio è che mi piace più il "work in progress" rispetto al risultato che voglio ottenere. Mi piace sfidare me stessa a piccoli step ogni giorno senza troppe aspettative ma sapendo che un giorno il mio corpo mi sorprenderà! Mi piace aver notato i miei punti più deboli e lavorarci con costanza e pazienza, prendendomi cura del mio corpo e sentirmi ogni giorno più forte e leggera, più flessibile.. voglio usare i miei muscoli per potermi divertire e giocarci! Non li voglio solo "per bel vedere". Su cosa sto lavorando? - sul CORE, in particolare sui cosiddetti "muscoli interni" che lavorano in tutte le inversions - in relazione al core, sulla verticale, e sul mio pincha (quindi sto rafforzando spalle, schiena, e polsi) - i miei flessori di anca che sono il mio punto debole. Sono deboli rispetto a quanto pensavo, quindi li sto rafforzando e ne sto aumentando la mobilità
Saranno queste vacanze che mi danno così energia!

I haven’t been going as hard with my workouts this week and that’s ok. I’m listening to my body but still putting in the work. Today is rest day for the gym but I’ll be doing a home workout. I need a good 12 hour hibernation to put the pep back in my step. At the gym last night I realized I’m still not fully recovered from leg day 5 days ago 🤔😑. Which is very unusual for me. Lifting the weights last night I surely felt the soreness. Point being you will have moments like these or just moments when you can’t work out for other reasons. Don’t let it derail you! You still make progress with every single workout. Happy Friday Eve! .
