My grandparents originally sparked my love for nurturing living things back when I was little. They had a decent sized vegetable garden and their yard was covered in immaculate flower beds. I was always there, right beside them. Learning, teaching, exploring.
I'll never have their green thumb though, I cant keep much alive if only barely and my memory is scant at best, but every time I see any type of plant I have this amazing urge to take care of it like a baby.
They instilled hard work and what it meant to enjoy that. What it meant to give back and to be ever aware and focused. I often look back and take for granted what I was taught even though I utilize it. I forget that they made work fun for me because they never made it seem like that. It was just them enjoying life and doing what they needed to to have the life they wanted. No complaints, no questions, just getting work done
