instagram vs reality
The first photo was the only one I was going to post, then I realized that was BS because it leads almost 40k of you to believe I don’t have struggles or insecurities. I snapped the second and third photo to remind you that the girl on Instagram with thousands of followers is human, too.
I have stretch marks even though I put cream on every day, my skin is as dry as the sahara and isn’t as tan as the filter makes it out to be. I’ve gone up two sizes in underwear to a size large which are still too small. My legs and body have lost the toning I worked so hard to get. I have rolls, I have laundry overflowing in the background from weeks ago, this bralett kills my ribs but I sucked it up for the photo. All my underwear and bras don’t fit so it’s rare that I wear either, and if only you could see how many photos I took to get this first picture.
Do me a favor, don’t compare yourself to the girl on Instagram or the girl in the magazine. Chances are, they don’t even look like the girl in your Instagram feed or magazine and that is okay.
