This week I'm talking about "The Law of the Mirror" or Self-Esteem!
I think that everyone, especially women, have struggled with this exact problem! We've all had self esteem issues at one point or another, but I love that in the book @johncmaxwell talks about it keeps us back from Success, from becoming the person that we want to be, and even from what we really want to accomplish on the smaller scale!
The thing that helped me the most in this area is 1) I stopped thinking about myself. I started waking up at 5:30 AM and have spent an hour and a half every morning filling out my grateful journal, reading my favorite books, and even playing my favorite game on my phone. But then, once it hit 7 AM I stopped thinking about everything that I want to do.
I do specific things during the day to think of myself, like get in the shower, put on a little makeup, and eat. But I am doing those things partially for other people as well. I eat so that i feel good, but also so that I have the energy to work with my clients, I put on make up so that I feel good, but also so that I look professional for my clients, and so on.
2) I started writing in my #starttodayjournal ! I listed everything that I'm grateful for and I also write down 10 big goals! Then, and this is the biggest one for me, I write down a goal that I will accomplish first! I write down the same goal everyday until I make it happen. This helped me see everyday that I am focusing on something and that even on the days that I wasn't "focusing" solely on that goal, it is still really fun to dream about after that one goal happened what will my life look like.
Example: I bought a house. On the days that I am off of work and not focusing on getting enough money to buy that house, I am focusing and thinking all day on how amazing it's going to be when I put my couch in that new house or waking up in that new bedroom!
