As I sit here, enveloped by a sea of toxic masculinity and white supremacy, I look to my lord and saviour, Hello Kitty, for salvation.
Hate speech is defended as free speech by entitled white men looking to defend their bigotry because they view their life as being superior and have no respect for others. They say crude things about minorities, they demonize those who are different, in the name of free speech, because they believe those groups are inferior, unworthy of respect and dignity.
These men use, quite ironically, "politically correct" language to justify why they are superior than everyone else, declaring any opposition as being overly sensitive PC nonsense. No matter the circumstances, the dialogue is always twisted so as to assure that the white man is in the right and everyone else is not only wrong, but should shut up amd be grateful that they have basi quality of life. If you criticize something in your society, you're ungrateful. Unless you're a white man; then you are a patriot. Hello Kitty is the antidote to toxic culture.
Hello Kitty is weaponized femininity. She is an icon of feminism. She is a direct attack on toxic masculinity. She is what saved me from the sludge. She taught me to not care what people think, because you better believe that you get a lot of judgment being a 20-something male, carrying around a Hello Kitty and taking pictures everywhere. She has taught me how to be strong and how to be kind and how to live my best life.
And if this all seems a bit much, you clearly aren't paying attention. Open your eyes to what is going on. Look at how much we judge people about everything. We stereotype everything. Whatever choices you make for your life are put on public trial, with you being expected to justify your existence. You don't need to justify anything to anybody except yourself.
It took 5 years of carrying a Strawberry Hello Kitty around the world to finally learn how to follow my arrow, re: @spaceykacey
