TEAR IS MY FAV RAPLINE SONG AND IM GON TELL YOU WHY EVEN THO NO ONE ASKED ME...
First I really love how the song starts and we all know it's the orchestral from highlight reels which I really dig.
Second, the way Namjoon starts the rap really shows his passion and the doubling on his voice and the adlibs really makes his rap interesting. Namjoon is the king of diff flows and his fast rapping towards the end shakes me to the core, the power and the meaning behind the lyrics is like someone who's deep in pain and just want to forget everything as he compares his broken love from tears.
Third the pre chorus and chorus just makes you bang your head to the counter and cry for no reason, it's a sing along chorus so anyone can sing and relate to it.
Fourth, yoongi yoongi yoongi, yoongi's rap touches me the most in the song, the lyrics, the switching of flow, right amount of autotune in right places. Yoongi's part where is he says"yeah yeah burn it" and the way it fades with "so that no ashes are left" makes me wanna punch myself (haha) not really but Yoongi literally killed his part and compares his love as torn up im pieces.
Fifth, hobi starts his verse with the BANGER, his passionate "UHHHHH" when he starts the rap and the way he continues with so much emotion and unique flow is unexplainable. We all can agree hobi always comes up with the most unique flows and his flow at the end of the song gives you the best closure where he wants to let go of his fears. His "du du du" and "gud gud gud" (idk what he says in Korean) are the best part of his verse, you can feel how much hurt he is and the way he ends the song with "Tear" is just like periodth, like he had enough.
All in all the unique flows, the production, the comparison of fake love to "tears, tear, fear" makes it soo much more interesting. The passion and the lyrics touches your heart, can even make people cry. As much as i love their diss tracks tear will always be no.1 for me- amen 🙏🏻
