Oh Canada! The first ever time I travelled solo was to Canada. I started in Vancouver, explored the Canadian Rockies and flew to Toronto to explore the French provinces. The highlight of my entire trip though, was climbing up this mountain to see an entire landscape of snow capped mountains and glacially fed water. Canada has the most incredible nature in the world.
Canadian Rockies, killing it as usual . We drove through Banff and Jasper last year but the smoke was so thick from fires in the surrounding area that we could barely see the outlines of the mountains. So even though we only had two days to spare, we had to do a second round on our drive up to Alaska!
I randomly saw a picture of this lake 2 years ago and have wanted to go here ever since. Me and my brother got here at 9:30 at night (sunset) and it was rainy and overcast. God's creation is still an incredible sight
NUMINOUS: a powerful feeling of both fear and fascination, of being in awe and overwhelmed by what is before you...
Mother Nature did goooood!! 🤩
I can’t describe how fresh and crisp the air smelt. Lake Louise and Lake Moraine have always been on my bucket list, but actually experiencing it was INSANE. Something you just can’t capture.
I experienced infinite stillness that was still somehow buzzing with life. So many thoughts and emotions brewed into this feeling of muffled detachment and awe.
What did we do to deserve such beauty? All I know is that we must take care of it.
(The last photo is untouched. )
The beauty of Moraine Lake....no wonder it was featured on the reverse of the Canadian twenty dollar bill.⠀

As much as I’ve loved my trip, I’m so ready to get back home. Tonight We’re staying at an 80’s style nana flat which backs onto a golf course in Palm Springs.
It has puffy vinyl toilet seats (actually a thing) flowery wallpaper boarders in each room and a million cat trinkets.
It makes me appreciate my house in Queenstown can’t wait to get back and unpack my bags and get a dog!
