Routines are so important to the success of the day and the success of your life. When you have a wakeup routine and you follow it, it’s likely to set you up to have a great day. My routine on weekday mornings is a 4:45 wakeup call followed by drinking a salt water/lemon mix to rehydrate, brushing my teeth, hopping on the treadmill (most days) and then my new favorite part of the routine, walking the dog with my 4 year old son. When I hit all of these parts of my routine, the rest of my day falls into place and is on autopilot. I know if I have that rehydrating drink it will prep me for the treadmill, I know if I get on the treadmill it’ll prep me to make good food choices and I know walking the dog with my son feeds my soul and gives me some calm before the potential storms of the day.
I have fallen out of ketosis and not sure why, but thats OK because I am still on the plan - I am sure I are too many carbs one day (by way of veggies) but I am still losing weight which is great! In fact I have not cheated on this diet at all, nearly 4 weeks in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We leave for our cruise tomorrow and while I have all intentions of sticking to the plan while away, I am not going to beat myself up if I break - I am already proud that I have made it this far with relative ease and I know I will hope right back on when I get back!
Usually when I am going away, the week of my diet goes to shit, figuring I’m just going to eat bad, why not start now? It’s a piss poor way to think but the way my brain is wired. BUT with keto that tought didn’t even cross my mind. I’ve stuck to the plan and continue to eat on point all this week! I’ll take small changes like those any day because small changes add up to HUGE changes! Happy Thursday!
