This speaks so much of our identity. This is something that has been hitting me since the start of 2019. Who are you? Whose are you? The second question may seem like "I'm no one's! I'm my own! No one owns me!" But the second question answers the first.
Our identity comes from whose we are. Since the start we have been robbed of this identity and we fight for exactly that--equality.
God made us in His image. Both male AND female were created in the image of God. From the start there were no distinction between the two in terms of status. Male and female have been created as precious beings--in the image and likeness of God, Most High, YAWEH.
Male and female are a unit. A team with unlimited potential. Why do I dare say this? Well it's because of whose image we were made. God has no limit. We were created in that limitless image.
The reason why we fail often is because of the lies we believe of ourselves. We allow others to tell us who and what we are. No, no, don't do that anymore. God said it Himself that we are made in His image. So regardless of what people say, or what you may think of yourself, if it's anything less than excellent, it's a lie.
Christ died on the cross to reestablish that identity that we lost sight of. We messed up when we ate from that tree that God said not to eat of. We gave up our authority to a serpent who still wants to destroy us. But in Christ, we have the authority of God. Why? If we believe, we are His children. He is our Father.
There's so much power in knowing who you are and whose you are. No matter what happens, that cannot change and cannot be taken away. Rise up and walk in His image. Find out what it means. Be strong. Be bold. Be you. God doesn't make mistakes, which means YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE.
God bless you
