I’ve been a full time special education teacher for 10 years. I’m also a single mom to my 14 year old daughter and soon to be 6 year old son. I decided to make changes to my lifestyle for a healthier me for my kids and I. I had to start somewhere and getting to the gym after work just wasn’t happening. I was exhausted from my special friends in my class, this year is by far the most behaviorally challenged class I’ve had and I’m done at 3:30, but I’ve got to come home and provide and be a mom to my OWN kids. So I decided, forget the gym, I’m gonna start working out at home. I thought I could do it after work, nope, I quickly found out I couldn’t bc I was so tired. So how would I fit time in for me? I starting setting my alarm for 345am!! Yup, that’s right 3:45am so I could take care of me and get a workout in before leaving for work. It’s not an easy sacrifice but it’s one I’ve made for a healthier lifestyle and I’m sticking to it! I’m done with excuses and not being consistent with myself. If I can wake up everyday at 3:45am workout, go to my full time teaching job for 8-9 hours a day, and come home to be a mom, you have no excuse to not help yourself.
