As it comes towards the end of the year, as a creative, you reflect on what you achieved in your work, in your life. 2018 has been a bit of a roller coaster for me and I’m sure many people can relate. Despite a few people telling me my photography should remain a hobby (even though I have a degree in photography...), I still took on some pretty wild opportunities. I opened @o_kstudio along with putting more time and effort into my work and wearing the fuck out of all the hats that come with it. I’m actually pretty proud of myself.
I’m going to take the remainder of 2018 to cleanse, to detox. The intention is to stroll into 2019 clear, open and ready for the next challenge, ready to push myself more and more.
I’ve never been more happy to ignore advice. I’m doing what I love, I’m giving it a red hot go, I’m going in clean.
Thanks 2018 for a pretty weird, exhausting, depressing, frustrating, exciting, fulfilling, inspiring, mind altering time. I’ve loved and hated every second of it. Here’s to moving forward, to growth, to leaving things behind that are no longer feeding me positively or stimulating me creatively and to the wonderful people that have come into my life recently. 🌞
