We all are victims of stress. What we do to battle that stress is what defines us. We can let it control us or we can find a way to battle it. I personally dance and travel at least once a month.

The biggest reason why mental health is overlooked is due to the fact that it can be invisible.
We need to learn to look a lot deeper than whatโ€™s on the surface ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’™

#meditation
Anger is ego; and how you treat yourself is a reflection of how you treat others in your life. People who are angry disrespect them selfs first, and will always be disrespectfully to others around there environment, family, friends, and coworkers.
Your addictive familiar behaviour is a mirror image of how you feel inside, and these are brought forward from past emotional experiences you have felt and seen. Stop being the victim and blaming and shaming others around you, projecting your selfless egoic behaviour. Pent up anger over long periods off time, years in fact, start to break down your internal molecular genetic DNA frame work. If you are constantly ill and visiting doctors or hospitals this is a warning sign to stop your predicable behaviour and holt your genetic destination.
How you think is how you act, and feel, are all from past experiences.
If someone is fearful, upset, and angry, this is their cry for help. They are suffering mentally and physically, from the past, addicted to there emotional selfless behaviour. This regurgitating chemical emotions familiar behaviour is sapping all of your energy from your already run down body.
Please donโ€™t ignore these signs with your fellow human beings or yourself.
Be understanding and approach with love and compassionate at all times. Thatโ€™s if they listen?
Remember this could be you next time.
Love cannot operate in a stressful survival mode of being.
Love with Gratitude and joy through Meditation are key. Be aware with heart and brain coherence.

Our goodies have arrived ready for Mental Health Awareness Week this October! ๐Ÿง
Find me soon in a supermarket near you ๐Ÿ˜
Mental Health affects each and every one of us. We all have a mind, and Iโ€™m certain weโ€™ve all gone through a time in our lives whether a long time or a short time where things were tough. Times of stress, grief, financial or physical burden, having been affected directly or indirectly by suicide or mental illness. Experiences of hardship shape us and itโ€™s ok to seek help to clarify our thoughts and emotions through these times. Iโ€™m fundraising for a great cause; to support those whoโ€™d like to seek help, to reduce stigma, create connection through communication, and to promote the many free resources and services offered by The MH Foundation of NZ! Positive wellbeing for all ๐ŸŒ€
Follow the link in bio if you wish to donate ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ @mhfnz

"In my Father's house there are many rooms," Jesus explained. "And I go to prepare a place for you," He finished.

Sometimes a Soul can feel homeless even if its body is in a multimillion dollar home, but Jesus came to declare good news: There's a suite prepared specifically for you in the Father's house.

If your Soul is feeling lost, alone, and weary seek the Father through Jesus. His ears are open to your prayers. Remember, He searches the earth looking for hearts that are committed to Him in order to give them strength (Chronicles 16:9). You're loved. Jesus has made room for you. He's just waiting for you to accept your reservation ๐Ÿ–ค

Today I awoke to some absolutely devastating news, a good friend of mine lost the battle with depression.
Rest in peace my dude <3

Look, I know what it's like, I've been there, I've been in some really dark places, but I found a light. The universe sent me something right when I needed it the most and for that I will be forever grateful.

As a man, talking about your feelings and the things that are troubling you is frowned upon by society. We are expected to be these cold, calculated, emotionless robots; that is so far from the truth.

Growing up, I was told time and time again to "harden up" "don't be so soft" "what are you, you girl?" those words, unbeknownst to me, would change my life.
For a long time one of my most toxic traits is the idea that I don't need help from anybody, I'm strong enough to face any obstacles that life may put in my way.
I pushed people away because I didn't want to burden them with my issues, or because I felt like they would think less of me. Now I realize that, this isn't the case.

It's okay to cry, it's okay to be soft, it's okay to talk about how you feel. My DMs will always be open 24/7/365 if you ever need a someone to talk, weither It's, depression, societal expectations or even if you're just at a crossroads in life. I can't guarantee I will be able to fix everything but I can guarantee that I will offer you a safe place where you can come and be heard.

Take care of yourself and the people in your life!!!
Take the time out everyday to ask someone how they're going, and not just this:
"Hey how are ya?"
"Yeah I'm good"
That's bullshit, be open, and talk about stuff, build that emotional characteristic.

Your emotions are not a weakness, they are a strength.
Be excellent to each other <3

Sometimes a session with a client is not about their physical goals but their mental well being. Talking through life stresses and coping mechanisms for it, is just as much a part of my role as a trainer as the exercise piece.
I see myself as a facilitator of change; imparting knowledge and understanding which will give clients tools to help them tackle life. Be that through exercise, nutrition or self care. Knowing how to handle the plot twists of life will help you reach your goals, no matter what happens.
Self care, we often preach it but donโ€™t practice it. Mental health. Take care of yourself.

R U OK? When last did you ask someone that question? And I don't mean asking in passing. I mean asking with conviction! And when you get a; 'I'm ok'... asking again. Maybe even with a 'R U really OK?'
We don't, do we? We often get so caught up in surviving each day of our own complicated lives, that you feel like there isn't any energy left in you to deal with the response of that question if the answer is a negative one.
I get it. I've felt that way. Half the time, Im so busy working on my own mental health that I feel I don't have the capacity to help with anyone elses.
But we don't need to 'help'.
We just need to listen.
And we all have the ability to do that. A loving word, a simple text, a hug. These small gestures have so much power for someone going through a tough time.
If I have neglected any of my friends by not asking this question while you've been having a tough time, I am sorry! I urge you to not wait for me to ask in the future. I want you to know that you can call on me whenever you feel the need. And I promise to try harder going forward.
If there is someone you know who might be struggling, today is the day to START asking the question! #ruokday2018
(And if you have a cute sleepy (Balinese beach) puppy to take to said struggling friend. Do that.) ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

Happy hump day!๐Ÿซ Tonight Iโ€™m recording a pajama friendly yoga flow for our wellness group. I used to get REALLY friggin nervous to teach in any capacity because of what other people may think.โœจ

Now I realize as long as I show up and teach in a way that feels authentic the tribe will come. Same goes for your day to day life! ๐ŸŒžJust be yourself. There will always be those who may not understand you but who cares! Smile, laugh, be goofy but whatever you do donโ€™t change to appease those around you! ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒท

Why do people get angry? I believe we get angry when our sense of "right" is violated. When this happens, it can lead us to one of two types of anger:
Definitive anger: when someone has wronged us.
Distorted anger: when things didn't go our way.
Much of the anger people experience is distorted anger. The traffic moved slowly. Our spouse didn't do things the way we wanted. Our matriarch parent bullying did not work with some of there kids. This kind of anger, however, can still be very intense and must be processed. Ask yourself, "Would it be helpful if I shared my anger with someone? In sharing it, might I improve things for everyone? If not, should I simply let it go?" All anger is shaped into a emotional cry for help.
The stronger the emotion the more attention and energy you put into it.
Whatever you do, do something positive, open your awareness and stop perceiving situations from your predictable past emotions. All emotional feelings are stored from your past. Don't hold your anger inside, it drains your energy and can lead to diseases. Stop living in the past.
Anger was meant to be a visitor, not a resident, always leave the door open. Processing your anger in a positive way will lead you toward freedom, emotional health, and relational stability.
Stay connected to the knowledge of knowing oneself, gratitude, feeling joy, and energy.

Depression and Anxiety affects 1 in 3 people in the UK. As someone who has battled (and continues to battle) both of these Mental Health conditions, I know how debilitating they can be.
_
So when I was invited to take part in the Genetic Link to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) study, I couldn't say no.
_
As Mental Health is a rapidly growing area of concern in the UK, and resources within the NHS stretched to their limit, this study couldn't come at a better time.
_
@kings_college_london together with @nhs_maudsley and the National Institute for Health Research are conducting the largest ever study into both conditions to better understand them so that they can be treated more effectively.
_
Signing up to the study is easy and once you've read about the study and given your consent, there's a series of questionnaires to answer and if you are eligible a Saliva Swab will be taken.
_
So whether you have or are currently suffering from Depression and Anxiety or know someone who has or is currently suffering from either, pop over to @gladstudy for more Information and to link to the website!

Scruffy one...#compulsivecharcoal 1 minute free drawing given to a passenger on Jubilee line 10:15am. I draw to stop my #SkinPicking disorder and reduce #anxiety. If you receive a drawing or postcard please share it! Check out the link in my bio from @bbcnews ! Art is my tool for recovery and I give my drawings away as #actsofkindness for others everyday, to raise awareness and reduce stigma for mental illness and this disorder. I have created my free drawings on the tube & Overground in London, the New York Subway System, Californiaโ€™s Amtrak, San Francisco trams, BART and MUNI, and Singapore's public transport system, so far I have given away in excess of 16,000 free drawings. As seen on @bbcnews @huffingtonpost @mashable
Compulsive Skin Picking also known as Dermatillomania or Excoriation, is a complex physical and mental disorder, part of a group known as body-focused repetitive behaviors (#BFRBs), self-grooming in which individuals pull, pick, scrape, or bite their own hair, skin, or nails, resulting in damage to the body. Drawing helps shift the tension of the disorder and refocus my hands.
