After years of practice, backbends now is something that comes easily to me. I put all my effort into cracking every backbend asana/pose simply because backbends gave me a great emotional release... kind of like a kick of dopamine. Unintentionally i created an imbalance within my own body. Strength is as important as flexibily, they are not mutually exclusive. This all boils down to awareness. This is the difference between practicing/Working out with and without awareness. Focus on what your body wants but also be aware of what your body needs!
