Leather tanneries in Fez.
Colorful leather goods are popular tourist souvenirs from traditional tanneries in Morocco. But workers must stand in toxic, chromium laden waters every day there to soften and dye the hides, and prolonged chrome exposure and lax disposal of waste tannery water can cause serious health and environmental problems. Such a hard work!!
Devaragundi (ದೇವರಗುಂಡಿ), meaning 'God's pool', is a waterfall in the Western ghats. It is created by one of the mountain streams at Thodikana. You have to cross two streams, climb uphill, and walk through a private farm for about 500m to view this magnificent waterfall. 🤩 It is cautioned that no one should step into the water in the surrounding of the waterfall, as its depth is unknown.
