HOT TAKE: If Chase Daniel starts this Thursday, I GUARANTEE a Bears loss. I’m sorry to say it, but let’s look at some facts. The Lions played at home last Sunday in a 20-19 victory against the Panthers, and will remain at home this Thursday. Home teams are 9-2 this year when playing on Thursday. The Bears are facing the quickest turn around time in NFL history, given their SNF matchup against the Vikings, and are on the road. The Lions are GOOD at home, beating teams such as the Packers, Panthers, and Patriots. Chase Daniel is onto his 10th season in the NFL, and hasn’t thrown a pass in a meaningful game since 2016. (He threw one time that whole year) His career TD:INTs is 1:1. Listen, Daniel may have years of experience in this system, but that absolutely does not mean he can perform in a meaningful game. Preseason stats, and practice experience, do not mean anything. There’s a reason why he’s never been a starter in 10 years, or even attempted to become a starter somewhere. He’s not going to just walk in this game, and perform like Tom Brady. He’s been in the NFL, I repeat, for 10 YEARS. Teams already know who he is, and obviously that’s why he isn’t a starter anywhere. This Lions team is going to be playing PISSED OFF after a VERY disappointing loss to us just a week and a half ago. Especially with their top CB Darius Slay potentially making a return, I expect them to rally for a very narrow victory if Chase Daniel plays. I love my Bears, but Trubisky is a bigger piece to the puzzle than you give him credit for. OPINIONS?
