Despite many believing Dan Quinn and the Falcons would become a good trade partner for Seattle to work out a deal for star FS Earl Thomas, it's just not going to happen.
HC Quinn's relationship will not be nearly enough to get this deal done.
Aside from Julio wanting a restructured deal, we will also have a lot of young stars to resign that will prove to be more important to the team as a whole.
One of the stars is breakout DT Grady Garrett. His rookie deal will be up at the end of this upcoming season, and if you are a serious Falcons fan, you know he is a must sign.
Another player that is going to need a contract is our current FS Ricardo Allen. Allen is a very consistent safety, great in coverage. He is a smarter choice both cap and age wise. Earl Thomas currently sits around $10 million in average salary which he is already looking to get restructured and increased. Taking this cost into mind, as well as the outright fact that Allen is 3 years younger, choosing to resign and stick with Ricardo Allen should be seen as nothing short of the better choice.
Best possible player for the best possible bargain.- @sungodedits -
