Healthy CAN be simple and still taste good too. Unlike many of the awesome, healthy foodies that I follow here on IG, I don't spend hours in the kitchen making beautiful food arrangements worthy of a food magazine photo. Let's face it - I'm a busy mom of 3 ♂️with a business and I can't spend hours on food prep, and if you're like me, simple and quick is usually what I try and stick to.
That said, healthy is also very important to me and my desire is to raise healthy kids with whole foods that are nourishing to them and give them the RIGHT kind of energy, not the artificial stuff. I've learned that I can still make things quickly, and SIMPLY, without compromises my value on nutrition. Hence... compiling some of my easy Back to School snack ideas that are easy, gluten free, refined sugar free, boosted with antioxidants using my doTERRA essential oils(my secret ingredient that gives me raving feedback whenever I serve them at events and parties), and super yummy!!!
I made these cinnamon 'cookie' balls (with sunbutter) last night, to go along with several other energy ball recipes I've created to add to their school lunch boxes over the coming weeks. They take about 5 minutes to make and I'm stocking the freezer with them. Oh!And I did make some banana bread with cassava flour that turned out awesome as well! Swipe rightto see those pics as well. The first loaf was devoured in 5 minutes by us!
