A Tribute to Mrs Mia Wallace and to those who loved her ❤️🐶❤️
A few weeks ago we announced the arrival of Mrs Mia Wallace, the most gentle and brave of ladies who joined us from the shelter. We knew her time with us would not be enduring, but of course it does not take long to fall in love, and so our hearts are still broken now that she has left us. Sadly, Mrs Mia Wallace was testament to all that is wrong with backyard breeding – bad genetics and lack of health testing in her parents resulted in untreatable orthopaedic and neurological ailments.
When we first welcomed Mrs Mia Wallace, we promised her that we would only keep her for as long as we could keep her pain at bay. So, with the specialist expertise of the wonderful staff at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and the dedication of her most wonderful foster carer, Mrs Mia Wallace enjoyed 3 weeks of naps in the sun, home-cooked meals, soft beds and enough love to see her through this life and the next. She let us know when she was ready to go, and with the heaviest of hearts, we knew the kindest thing and last gift we could offer, was to set Mrs Mia Wallace free.
Vale Mia, if love could have saved you, you would have stayed with us forever xx
