This is a taste of the Wander Women:
We all get the most hilarious of lost trying to find each other in Central Park, not one of us entering the same way.
We begin our time together by silently pressing our prayers into a flower petal sun mandala to honor summer and nature.
We surrender to cooling off in circle on this scalding, almost summer day (both physically and spiritually) and soak in the sublime 360 view surrounding us.
We take soulscapes within to places like a mountain top bonfire that feels like a celebration-cation.
We smell of sun tan lotion, lavender, and citronella, and munch on shared orange slices and almonds.
We laugh and listen to the birds that chirp and touch down nearby.
We create caution labels for our phones like it was alcohol so we can remember to unplug and go live hands free (with or without the perfect photo op).
We talk about our energy like it’s our most precious thing we invest, and what is both breaking and filling our hearts.
We let poetry and wind wash over us, witness one another with eyes wide open, and bedazzle recharging as if it was an art in itself.
And finally, we end in a downpour of rain that makes us all look ready for that scene in The Notebook. (But we were fine without Ryan Gosling!)
Guys, I don’t know if I’d notice the season’s wonders, comings, and goings if it weren’t for these women and these circles. Spring, thank you for the cleansing because summer, I am so ready for your wild ride.
Happy Soon to Be Summer Solstice!
