Reusch USA supports the IGA Project Pink campaign with two of our best coaches through their Impact Goalkeeping Academy (IGA). Many of us at Reusch USA have also been impacted in our personal lives with Breast Cancer. Here, in their own words, is a little history on why these two coaches, Joe and Mizzy, are so supportive of the research being done on Breast Cancer.
IGA's Project Pink was initiated in 2015 when Big Joe & Mizzy wanted to get involved with the community on a different level outside of just training keepers. Big Joe lost his Aunt to Breast Cancer. His Grandmother, currently 91, is a Brest Cancer Survivor. Mizzy was going through a tough time with his half-sister losing her battle with brain cancer.
Big Joe started a deep conversation with some of the keeper parents and asked them if they knew or had a loved one suffer from Breast Cancer and the responses he received magnified how many people were affected.
So after hearing the stories about mothers, sisters, aunties, grandmothers, and friends being affected and suffering from Breast Cancer, Big Joe & Mizzy made it their mission to help fund-raise to help "Find a Cure". After a couple of years working on this project our Glove Sponsor, Reusch USA, was generous to work with us in constructing a glove for IGA in Support of Breast Cancer research.
The biggest blessing happened when Reusch USA partnered with IGA to fully support the production of a glove to help raise awareness, and funding to join the Fight. All proceeds for every pair of gloves sold goes to the BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) & the American Cancer Society. We are confident that this terrible disease will have a cure.
